What is a model management app?
A model management app is software that tracks a model’s bookings, castings, image rights, invoices, payments and agency contracts in one place. It replaces the Notes app, the spreadsheet and the memory a career usually runs on.
A model management app keeps the six things a modeling career produces — jobs, castings, calendar, money, image rights and agency statements — in one place, and derives them from the emails already being received. It is not an agency, not a portfolio and not a casting platform. It starts to matter at the second agency, the first campaign with image rights, or the first fee that is sixty days late.

One line, six objects. Everything downstream of the email is derived from it; nothing is typed twice.
What it tracks.
Six modules that reference each other. A job without its payment, or a payment without its job, is the sign of a bad one.
Date, client, rate, usage, call sheet, contract. The centre of everything.
Castings become options become jobs — or release. Dashed until they are real.
Jobs, castings, events, trips and fashion weeks on one grid, in the job’s local time.
Every fee on a 90-day bar; reminders drafted at 60, 85 and 91; the tax set-aside on direct work.
Media, territory, duration per photo set — with the end date and an alert 60 days before.
Commission, rebilled expenses, exclusivity, notice — and the monthly statement reconciled line by line.
What it is not.
Three neighbours that are often confused with it.
Not an agency
It does not find you work, negotiate or invoice the client. It works for you, next to the agency.
Not a public portfolio
Bookers do not browse it. It may generate a comp card or a book link, but the audience is you.
Not a casting platform
No open calls, no applications. Castings enter it because you were invited to one.
When you need one.
Two statements, two currencies, two sets of terms — the moment memory stops being enough.
The first time a photo of you is worth more than the day, and has an end date someone should remember.
You do not know whether to remind, what to write, or whether the agency has even been paid. The app knows.
Six things to check.
Frequently asked.
Is a model management app the same as a portfolio site?
No. A portfolio shows your work to bookers. A management app runs the business behind it: the jobs, the money, the rights, the contracts. Odette has a shareable book, but it is a side door, not the point.
Do I need one if I have an agency?
The agency runs its side — booking, negotiating, invoicing the client. Nobody runs yours: checking the statement, knowing when a usage ends, chasing a direct job. That is the gap the app fills.
Can it work without an agency?
It should. A good one treats a direct job — you invoice, you chase — and an agency job — the agency invoices, you read the statement — as two paths of the same thing.
