Free tool · the calculation Odette runs on every job
Your fee, from gross to what you keep.
Enter the day rate, commission, buyout and expenses. Odette shows what lands in your account, what’s actually yours once the set-aside is put away — and the day the transfer is due.
Through an agency in France, the fee is salary: commission then contributions are deducted by the agency, no set-aside needed. Image rights are paid separately (royalty). Orders of magnitude — the payslip is authoritative.
Working direct, nothing is withheld: you set aside contributions and tax on every payment yourself (22% by default). This informs; it doesn’t replace an accountant.
Three figures, always in that order.
The fee isn’t what lands in your account, and what lands isn’t what’s yours.
01
GrossWhat the client pays for the day. The buyout — image usage — is a separate line, often the largest.
02
NetAfter commission and contributions if you go through an agency; untouched but to set aside if you’re direct.
03
What you keepAfter the set-aside and the job’s expenses. That’s the figure Odette shows first on every job.
