The fashion week calendar.
Twelve months, eight cities, three kinds of date: the shows, the casting weeks before them, and the day your digitals need to be ready. One grid, then the exact dates season by season.
The women’s season runs twice a year through New York, London, Milan and Paris in that order — in September for spring-summer and in February and March for autumn-winter — with couture in Paris in January and July. Copenhagen opens each season earlier, in early August and early February; Seoul runs in early September and early February, and Tokyo at the turn of August and September and in March. Show castings open one to three weeks before each week, and agencies want fresh digitals a few weeks before that.

Show dates as announced by each organiser — CFDA, BFC, CNMI, FHCM, Copenhagen Fashion Week, JFWO, Seoul Fashion Week — checked in September 2026. Los Angeles has no council, so its week is approximate. Castings and digitals are the usual lead times, not announcements.

Paris (FHCM): menswear 19–24 January 2027, couture 25–28 January, womenswear 1–9 March. Copenhagen: 1–5 February. New York, London, Milan, Seoul and Tokyo had not announced their dates in September 2026 — those are placed where last season fell. Confirm before booking travel.
How to read it.
Bookers pull digitals three to five weeks before the shows. August and January are the two shooting windows: a plain wall, daylight, no make-up.
Show castings open one to three weeks before the first show and arrive in bursts, often the same day. Keep those weeks free and be in town.
An option is not a booking. It releases or confirms, often the day before the show; two options on the same slot are normal, and the agency arbitrates.
The women’s circuit runs New York, London, Milan, Paris over about four weeks. The agency books travel and apartments; the taxis are yours.
The season is behind your own dates. Your castings, options and shoots go on your calendar as they are confirmed, with the season’s weeks drawn behind them. Frequently asked.
When do show castings happen?
One to three weeks before each fashion week, in bursts: a request from your agency, an address, a time, often the same day. Being in town, reachable and with fresh digitals is what gets you in the room.
Do I have to be in the city?
For show castings, yes — they happen in person, and options are confirmed close to the show. For e-commerce and campaigns, agencies often cast from digitals and book you to fly in.
What about pre-collections and couture?
Couture is Paris only, in January and July, with its own castings about a week before. Pre-collections and resort shows are irregular, brand by brand — usually May–June and November–December — and do not follow the calendar above.
Are the dates final?
No. Each council publishes its dates a few months ahead and they shift by a few days season to season. The spring-summer shows above are the announced dates; autumn-winter is provisional wherever a council has not published yet — confirm with the official calendar before booking travel.
